5 free directories that your website should be in!

The internet is full of free directories where you can list your website for free. Some of these directories are better than others.

Here is a list of 5 directories with good page rank and a free listing options. If you have a spare 10 minutes and your site is not already in there, listing yourself in these directories would be time well spent.

Dmoz

If you only ever submit your website to one directory, make it Dmoz. This is still the most respected directory on the web and will definitely help your Google rankings. The downside is that it is a human edited directory, so submissions can take a loooong time to process. If you have trouble, you can often speed things up by selecting your geographic location as your category, rather than your industry category.

Hot Frog

Hot Frog is one of Australias oldest directories and appears in a lot of internet searches. It a free listing and is definitely worth joining.

Flying Solo

Flying Solo is a small business / Solo business resource and community website. They have just launched a new directory system, so now is a good time to grab a free membership and create a profile for your business.
