Whether it's good news or bad news, if you or your business make news, you need to know about it.
But how can you possibly keep track of all of the possible news publications that might run a story on you?
Once again, Google has provided a solution, and best of all, it's completely free. The system is called email alerts and it can send you an email any time a particular search term appears on any news website that Google monitors. (Which is just about all of them).
All you need to do is run a search for the term that you want to monitor in Google, then click on the “News” option in the top of the search screen. Now scroll right to the bottom of the results, and there will be an option marked “Create an email alert for [Your search term], and you are done.
As always, you’ll need a Google account for it to work.
This system is also great for keeping up to date with trends and topics that you might need to be on top of, or recent events that you might want ot track. You can ad as many alerts as you like.
Give it a go and let us know how you find it.
