Google updates search engine results page - SERPs

Search Engine Optimisation

Website design and development blog >> Search Engine Optimisation

Google changed their search engine results page last month. (That's SERP in techno bable). The new page they are showing seems to be basically the same, but has the addition of a navigation bar to the left which has reduced the space available for the organic search results. If anything this makes it even more important to sit inside the top three results for your main key terms.

The other change that I have noticed is that the option to search within Australian results is less obvious than it was, which suggests that more people will make “world wide” searches. These results tend to show local websites first in any case but they do include more international sites, making it a more competitive arena. Search engine Optimisation Sydney
