SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. SEO is the process of optimising a website to improve it's rankings in search engine results for specific key words or phrases.

Q. How does an SEO program work?

An SEO program will start with Keyword research. Once the best keywords and key phrases have been found, then these words are inserted into the text and code of the website. This is known as "On Page" optimisation. Once the On Page work is done and the site is optimised, then the keywords are used to generate incoming links. When Google, or other search engines find these links, then the website will be seen as a more popular, or important site, and will be rewarded with higher rankings for the keywords used. This is known as "Off Page" optimisation.
